The Pennsylvania AHEC system began in 1994 and encompasses 7 regional AHEC centers statewide. The PA AHEC System is an integrated system that coordinates a statewide medical education and training network dedicated to improving the distribution and quality of Pennsylvania’s health professions workforce. The PA AHEC system is affiliated with a larger network of AHECs, the National AHEC Organization.
