Improving the Quality of Life
for Visually Impaired Seniors - The Casino, Altoona, PA
This educational program is designed to
advance the knowledge and skills of physicians and other health
care professionals in managing senior patients experiencing the
loss of vision. The training will provide information to assist
providers in responding to the health care needs, as well as,
improve the quality of life for the visually impaired senior
citizens of the Commonwealth.
Experiential training will also occur as
attendees are introduced to the variety of assistive devices
available to aid visually impaired seniors. There will also be
a hands-on demonstration of the available tools to assist
seniors and improve their quality of life.
Information will be provided to link
attendees with existing community, local and state organizations
for the visually impaired.
CME Credit
and CEU’s will be available.
